Overview and Company Profile

Founded back in February 1923, Aeroflot has since then been Russia’s most recognized brand of airline. Under the chairmanship of Valery Okulov since 1997, Aeroflot has grown to become Russia’s de facto national carrier as well as its largest airline ever.

In 1989. Aeroflot joined the IATA or the International Air Transport Association where Mr. Okulov himself is a member of the IATA’s Board of Governors. Amongst the Russian carriers belonging in the IATA, Aeroflot is the oldest member.

Products and Services

Air travel is Aeroflot’s ultimate passion, which is manifested in its 96 destinations in as many as 48 countries all over the world. Aeroflot has 34 destinations in its homeland Russia, as well as 35 destinations in Europe, 7 in former Soviet republics, 10 all over Asia, 2 in Africa, 5 in North America, and 8 in the Middle  East. Aeroflot is an airline that is very accessible in Russia, with four branches conveniently located in Krasnoyarsk, Magadan, Sochi, and St. Petersburg. In Asia, the airline reaches Bangkok, Thailand, Beijing, China, Hong  Kong, China Hanoi, Vietnam, Delhi, India, Mumbai, India, Seoul, Korea, Tokyo, Japan, and Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia. In Africa and the Middle East, the airline flies to Beirut in Lebanon, Damascus in Syria, Cairo in Egypt Arab Republic, Dubai in the U.A.E., Tegeran in Iran, Luanda in Angola, and Dzhidda in Saudi Arabia.
