Climate
There is something for everyone in Barcelona all year round. The temperature is moderate for good daily flight connections. Between January and February, the weather is cooler but is mainly dry. From March to May and the month of October, it is mild. The months of June up till September is a hot season particularly in July and August that are quite hot. In November and December there is frequent rainfall which is always heavy.

When to Travel
Visiting Barcelona is best between March and May. It is also comfortable to visit in October. With the climate being mild in most times of the year, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the city with its rich Catalan delicacies such as Paella raciones, and tapas. The major sites within the city can be found within walking distances. The Spanish city of Catalonia proudly boasts Barcelona as its capital. The city has calendar chock-full of annual festivals and events. You will have great time if you visit the city for New Year’s Eve.
Getting Around
You can easily reach Barcelona’s sights on foot as the several big draws are situated in close proximity with each other but public transportation system is very efficient. The Metro service consist of 6 subway lines which run from Monday to Thursday between 5am and 11pm while Fridays Saturday s it runs from 5am to 2am. The service terminates at midnight on Sundays. The buses are also very good means of movement. There are the yellow and black taxis which are always available and are affordable. They take a tip of about 5% and may be hailed or picked from any taxi rank.
