This region of India generally has a humid, subtropical climate. Its summers are very hot and very long that lasts from April to mid-October, occasionally ridden with monsoons. At the beginning of March, there’s usually a switch in wind direction (NW to SW). This results to heat waves that carry sand from Rajasthan. This is definitely the sign that it’s summer in Delhi already. The hottest summer months are from March – May. But by the end of June, the monsoons will start, cooling everything down but bringing up the humidity level. Winter is starts in November and reaches its climax in January that is usually filled with fog.
Very extreme cold is -0.6 degrees C, while very extreme heat is 46.7 degrees C. Average temperature all years is 25 degrees C. Every month, temperature ranges from 13 degrees C to 32 degrees C. Rainfall averages to about 714 mm or 28.1 inches that occur in the months of July and August.

When to Travel
The best time to visit Delhi is from October to March. You could also take advantage of the perfect trekking time in the Himalayas from April-November.
