Ho Chi Minh

FLIGHTS AND TRAVEL GUIDE

Overview

Ho Chi Minh is the bustling metropolis of Vietnam. Also known as Saigon, the city became famous because of the Broadway Musical, Miss Saigon, which was about how a Vietnamese girl found true love during the Vietnam War. Today, it is a very contemporary center for trade and diverse culture. It is like Saigon never sleeps forever breathing life into each and every person that wanders its streets.

There is just so much that contemporary Saigon has to offer: silk, pagodas, spices, skyscrapers, malls, designer restaurants, and bars; even so, the shadows of its past still echo in its temples, churches, government buildings, and re-established (GI) hotels. With this, Ho Chi Minh serves as a rich reminder of how the Vietnamese holds true to their legacy of resilience.

Every corner of Saigon’s streets and structures make you experience the enchanting charm of its people and heady atmosphere of flavors. It is really an intense experience to visit such a diverse blend of culture and tradition.

When to Travel

Tourists usually increase in number from November to March because of continued tours. But in early or late January, the Tet Festival starts. This is a perfect way to witness one of Saigon’s traditional celebrations.  Some tourists like to visit in April, during the very high humidity. From December to April, the evenings are very cool so tourists also want to take advantage of this even if these are among the hottest months.
