Weather / Climate
Hong Kong also has the four seasons to wait for. Winters are very chilly at 10 degrees C when winter monsoons occur. Even if it is winter, you should still wear sun protection because of the intense sun at 22 degrees C. Summers are highly humid and extremely hot at 33 degrees C. It is mildly sunny during Christmas in Hong Kong so it is a tourist magnet during this time of the year. From June to September, typhoons frequent Hong Kong. Wet, cold weather is experienced during the Chinese New Year. Because heating is a rarity in Hong Kong, most establishments still turn on their air conditioning to circulate the air to freshen it.

When to Travel
It is said that spring (from March to May) and fall (from November to December) are the best times of the year to visit Hong Kong because of the pleasant weather. Avoid the month of September because this is when cyclones occur. So better pack your bags and choose your months well. You wouldn’t want ending up in a storm drain somewhere in Hong Kong.
