When is the best time to go?

In India, the best time to go is during winter season which happens from October to February. It is best to go around India when there is no more heat. During these times, the Northeastern part becomes dry that is normally wet that makes it best to travel there. Although India has rain and cool weather, this is the peak season of the country.

One of the good reasons to visit this season is the celebration during these months; a time when the biggest festivals in India are celebrated and in October to November the Dussehra, diwali and Durga Puja. However, in November, there is another celebration called Pushkar fair, which is the largest cattle fair in the country.  In the month of January, they are celebrating the Republic day of India and Lohri, which are the festivals of the Punjabis. During the month of March there is Holi or the fest of colors. Aside from that, there is Id, the Easter and Christmas and many more to mention. All these celebration will make you experience the richness of its culture and the true India.

If you want to get to India during summer, the best thing to do is climb the hills and enjoy the scenes from the top. The Himalayas would be great for trekking and mountaineering.
