Overview

Kyoto is Japan’s city located in the central part of the Honshu Island. The population of this city is about 1.5 millions. It was the formal capital of Japan and present capital of Kyoto Prefecture. Some historic reports show that the first human activity in this island was happened in 6 century. It became the part of japans’ imperial court in the year 1868. This city was undergone severe damage during the First World War. The famous heian history was stared in this city only. Kyoto city was restructured in 16th century. It is reported that a person named toyotomi hideyoshi restructured by building new streets. Its economy is the major contribution to the japan’s growth. During the world war second this city was targeted by the US military troop but missed. This city is the best example to prewar buildings. The townhouse of Kyoto is called as machiya. In the year 1997 Kyoto was included in the list of government ordinance. It is known to follow traditional culture but modernization continues to break it down. Kyoto follows humid subtropical climate. During September months it records its highest temperature. The temperature varies from 8.3 degrees to 32 degrees.
