Weather / Climate
Los Angeles is said to have a subtropical-Mediterranean type of climate. It is pretty much very sunny throughout the entire year with only about 35 days of rain.
On the average, downtown LA has 19 to 24 degrees C during the day and about 14 degrees at night. The coldest is January with 15 to 23 degrees C (daytime) and 7-13 degrees C (at night). On the other hand, the warmest month is August at 26-32 degrees C (daytime) and around 18 degrees C (at night).
The microclimate and June Gloom or May Grey phenomenon always happens to LA. The June Gloom has foggy skies during the morning along the coast.
Every year, around 15.14 inches of rain occur. There are also mild drizzles/showers from November to April but develops to thunderstorms or winter storms.

When to Travel
It is best to visit LA from June to September when summer is prevalent. This is when tourists flock onto the beaches. The highest temperature in Los Angeles can reach up to above 90 degrees F. But all throughout the year, temperatures are from 26.6 degrees C (daytime) and 21.1 degrees C (night time).
If you want to take advantage of the tours during this time of year, you really have to reserve hotels and restaurants. Make sure that you do this or you will not have a good place to stay in during your visit.
