Weather and Climate in Malaysia

Malaysia is a tropical country but the good news is that it is not that hot. There is humidity which you may expect from the country’s proximity to waters. Except the highlands, the country is moderately hot and very sultry. Normally the temperatures range from 20°- 30° Celsius.

While they experience mostly tropical all year round, the monsoons may vary on the coastline of the Peninsular Malaysia. The rainy season is expected from September to December in the West coast while the East coast experience rainy season from October to February and on the other hand, heavy rains are collected between November until February.

Best time to Visit Malaysia

Anytime throughout the year, the beauty of Malaysia does not change although there are really times that the weather is at its best. The months of May to September has been considered the best time to visit the country.  During October and November it usually rains really hard on the West coast and November to January in the East coast; these are the times that the beach is not the best place to go to.

You may not want to visit during the monsoons as well when you are up to the water sports. Talking about festivals and huge sale carnival the travel peak season is during November to January.
