You can best visit Montreal from June to September when the snow has thawed and it has already started to get warm.
During this period, festivals and activities are scheduled and you could very well enjoy al-fresco dining experiences with friends and loved ones.
If you want to visit during wintertime (December-March) then expect tons of snow. There will still be festivals to look forward to and a lot of shopping as well!
