Overview
New Zealand is an Island country situated in south western region of Pacific Ocean which is comprises of two land masses namely South Island and North Island. This country is surrounded by numerous other small islands. It is located about 1500km from east Australia and roughly about 1000km from Pacific Island. Since it is the remote island it was one which is last settled by the human beings. During the developmental time it was dominated by birds and many birds became extinctions when humans entered the island. Most of the New Zealand’s place is covered by forests. The sharp mountain peaks and varied topography is a plus point to boost the island. Volcanic eruptions caused by indo Asian plates and Pacific became a under roof for this island. Some history reports show that Polynesians ruled the New Zealand in 1300 AD. It was founded by Europeans and was considered as a farming land to muskets and potatoes. At the time of Musket wars in 1840 it was occupied by British people and ruled the island till 1890. During 1980 the country undergone major economical developments and recognized as a free trade centre. Today New Zealand is dominating in the agricultural market and exports some of its vegetables to other foreign countries.

Climate / Weather
New Zealand experiences sub tropical climate in North Island and temperate climate in South Island. The nature of the island is in such a way that it is protective to most of the winds and volcanoes’. The maximum temperature recorded during day time is about 30 degree Celsius. During fall season the temperature comes below 0 degree Celsius in inland regions. Normally humidity and rainfall is high in western part of New Zealand than eastern part. Strong winds are common during winter season that covers most of the ski fields.

New Zealand is the best island to travel. Flights act like a domestic transportations and are cheaper than buses and trains. They contribute a lot while crossing south and north islands. Most of the airlines in New Zealand operate by using electronic ticket system. You can book a flight either through telephone or through an air travel agent or directly via online. A photo ID is a must to travel in and around this island country. The check in times of these flights is 30 minutes before its departures. You are also allowed to carry small amount of luggage.
