Overview
Orange County, Florida is home to the beautiful and large city of Orlando. The city is known for its theme parks like Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios to name a few, but this city has more to offer other than theme parks. Orlando, Florida is a city that offers almost anything under the sun, resorts, wildlife parks, excellent dining and nightlife experience. Every year, the city welcomes a whopping 52 million visitors from the mainland and other countries combined. The city’s tourism has greatly evolved because of the increase in the number of tourists who are visiting this major city. So planning your trip ahead would be best to avoid the hassle last minute booking.
Orlando International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, everyday; hundreds of planes flight through the airport, so finding flights will not be very difficult. The airport facilities are also very nice, filled with shops, cafes and a hotel located inside the airport. The airport, by the way, is divided into Terminal A and B, and both terminals look identical, so travelers need to be very careful to avoid getting lost.
Ground transportation is also convenient, with lots of car rental services and other transportation available for your use. There are also shuttle services or motorcoach transfers if you have booked hotels that offer this service. You can also choose to travel by private vehicles by taking Orlando’s major highways. It is important to by an updated map of Orlando prior to your trip. Travelers can also take the train or the Greyhound bus.

Weather / Climate
In Orlando, everyday is vacation day for tourists visiting the city. From October until April, the weather/climate in Orlando is pretty mild. Afternoon storms and days with high humidity is between May until September, while hurricane and thunderstorm season from the month of June ‘til November.

When to Visit
The best and cheap flights are usually available during off peak season, which is the later part of the month of May and the first few weeks of June, except Memorial Day weekend. You can also choose to visit Orlando before or during Thanksgiving because there are fewer tourists during these times, compared to other holidays. You can also check the city out in the months of September and October because the climate is warm but not as scorching as the summer heat in Orlando. You can also plan your trip during early weeks of February and May
Peak season for travel is usually US holiday-dependent and also during summer vacation. Tourist traffic is also heavy during December and January. A lot of people travel to Orlando for their Christmas and New Year’s celebration. Also avoid the seasons when theme parks are closed for the holidays.
