It is the tenth greenest city headquartered for many organizations such as UNESCO, OECD and ICC. The highest GDP recorded in the year 2009 with an estimated value of 552.1Euros. According to the reports it lists along side London in economy. Paris is world’s expensive city with an annual tourist count of 42 millions. It has highest number of monuments (around 3,800 monuments) including UNSECO’s World Heritage Site.

Paris follows European ocean Climate influenced by North Atlantic Current. Temperature is wild and wet. Summers are pleasant and warm. In a year the temperature will be more than 320C for few days. The year 2003 witnessed long and harsh summer. The highest temperature recorded is 400C. the highest temperature recorded for July is 210C. The minimum temperature is 160C and average maximum temperature recorded is 270C. You can experience fresh nights during autumn and spring seasons. Sunshine is limited in winter and temperature dips down to negative numbers for few days. Snowfall is rare but assured. Recently in 2010 heavy snowfalls occurred due to the cold waves and temperature was in -10 and -20 degree C.

Transportation

Although Paris is costly city it is home to some of the world famous monuments. The cheapest way to travel Paris is using metro. For one side trip they will cost around 70 cents. If you are willing to stay in Paris for few more days you can rent a car at minimum cost. During day times the traffic is dense. The interesting thing to notice about the residents of Paris is many of them do not own any car. You can also visit this city on bare foots without any problems. Probably you can travel entire city with in few hours.
