Best Time to Travel to Petra

The best time to go Petra is from September to February. There are two distinct dry and wet seasons that influences the tourists. There is a recommendation to visit Petra early in the morning or in the late afternoon. In the late afternoon the sandstone rocks glow red with full gland.

Transportation

The transportation modes in Petra are horse, camel or donkey. Through the Siq the Petra can be easily accessed. Siq is a cleft of winding which varies a width from 5 to 200 meters. Petra’s excellence can be realized by the fact that almost all the buildings are made of solid rocks. You can easily go to the treasury through the ride of camel or donkey. When you arrive at treasury there are many donkey and camel drivers to serve you with price. Between hotel and the entrance of Petra you can walk or take taxi. Petra is known by its arts also. The sand art bottles have an amazing view as they are produced by colorful send drawing inside the bottle, which is very artistic. The drawings are mountain, desert, camels, lakes etc. If you visit Petra then you will surely find many shops of artists beside the streets. In these shops artists sell their works of art to visitors and tourists. You must carry a camera with high quality batteries to take snap of the beauty of Petra.
