Some of the bordering nations of Poland are Slovakia and Czech Republic in the south, Germany in the west part, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine in the east, Kaliningrad oblast, Russian exclave and Baltic Sea in the north. Poland stands at 34th position in the list of most populated country and 6th in European Union. Poland is the member of NATO, European Union, the United Nations, world trade organization and the OECD. In terms of standard of living and human development, Poland has reached a great rank.

Climate / Weather
The climate of Poland is mostly temperate that is same throughout the country. The climate is considered to be oceanic in the north part and west part as well. It becomes warmer gradually and continental towards the regions of south and east. Summer seasons are considered to be warm with the temperature to be in between 17 degree C and 20 degree C. Winter seasons are cold and will be with temperature around 3 degree C in the North West part and about – 6 C in the north east part.
Transportation
The infrastructure of roads in Poland is very poorly maintained. You cannot find any high speed motorways at present in Poland. The public transportation is inexpensive and is found quite plentiful. Buses and trams can be found for transportation within cities and charter buses and trains can be found for travelling long distance. Some of the national railway service in Poland is Przewozy Regionale and PKP intercity. You can also find a few more local carriers which belong to major cities or voivodships. The tickets for trains are considered to be inexpensive and quite economical for travelling. The travelling conditions show the fact about the infrastructure in not good.
You can choose first class tickets as the difference between the first, second and third class ticket prices are not much. You might not get the first class quality what you expect in Poland as most of the first class couches are old and only the second class couches have been renovated lately. Some of the intercity routes are Warszawa to Katowice, Warszawa to poznari, poznari to Szczecin and Warszawa to Krakow.
