Overview
A city in the Pacific Coast of Mexico, Puerto Vallarta has become a major tourist destination in the country. It is filled with beautiful beaches, five star resorts and hotels, exotic food and great opportunities for adventure.

Checking and comparing prices will really help you get the flight and the hotel reservation that you are looking for. You can also travel by land, using private cars, by bus or by boat. Getting around the city is also not a problem because taxis are often waiting just outside the hotels in the city. Local buses are also available and other shuttle services.
Whether you like historic sites like La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, or long walks by the beach, diving and snorkeling to get to know various sea creatures, or maybe just to have fun beside bottles and bottles of tequila, Puerto Vallarta is the city for you.

Weather / Climate
Puerto Vallarta is a tropical destination, so technically its summer all year round at least before and after the combined months of June until the about the 2nd week of October. It’s not a big thing to worry about though, because rain showers usually do not last that long, so summer fun is still on. The temperature in the city is at an average of about 77 degrees almost all year round.

When to Visit
The most number of visitors in Puerto Vallarta arrive during spring and winter when almost people are willing volunteers to leave the cold winter weather to go to the tropics. Peak season in the city is from the middle of November until the month of April. Off season is usually during fall and the start of summer, during these seasons, Puerto Vallarta has fewer visitors. Low season is also around the months of May until the middle of July. The months of September up until the 2nd week of November are also considered to be low seasons. The traffic of tourists is also calmer during the months of July and August.
