During the time of Popes the city was undergone major developments and was the centre of Italian Renaissance. Rome is the city of world famous architects and artists. Raphael, Bramante and Bernini are some famous architects resided in Rome. It is a famous tourist place with a tag of 11th most popular and toured city in world. In European Union it is third most visited city. The historic centers of Rome have been listed by UNESCO and are recognized as the world’s heritage centre. Annually about 4.2 million people visit Rome.

Rome undergoes Mediterranean climate. The spring and autumn seasons are normally warm and mild. The best month to travel Rome is October because of its warm and sunny nature during that time. The maximum temperature recorded here is 30 degree C. most of the businesses were closed during August. In order to attract the visitors the Rome city will stay open during summers also. The highest temperature recorded in January is 12.9 degree C. Snowfall is common between December and February. Summer lasts for six months between May and October. Some times temperature rises above 20 degree C with March being the coldest month. The temperature changes with in the city.
