Overview
Seattle, also known as the Emerald City because of the lush trees surrounding this major city, is famous for being considered to be the coffee capital of the United States. In almost every corner or area in the city, there are small and big coffee shops that tourists can visit.
Seattle is the home of big companies like Boeing, Amazon.com and the coffee empire Starbucks. This city is a bustling community of nature lovers and technology buffs. It is also where the Pike Place Market is located; the market famous for its fresh produce, restaurants and shops is really one of the top tourist destinations in the lush city. The coffee loving city also has its share of breweries, which offer the best wines and spirits in the country.
The Seattle-Tacoma Airport is the busiest gateway to the city, though some tourists also prefer to travel by land and by sea. The city’s public transportation system is also well kept, so tourists can choose this means to go around the city. Of course, tourists can always rent their own cars and SUVs for a more convenient approach.

Seattle’s weather or climate is often times described by only one word, rain. It’s no wonder why there so many trees in the area and why agricultural products are always fresh and available. It rains all the time in this green city, so tourists should always come prepared with their rain gears, like jackets and the ever-trusty umbrellas. January until May as well as October until December are considered to be the periods when the most number of rainy episodes occur. Summer happens during the months of June until August.

When to Visit
The months of June until August are considered to be the busiest season in Seattle, because of the simple reason that these are the driest and warmest months of the year. Tourists go on cruises, attend festivals including the famous Pike Place Market Street Festival.
Obviously, the least favorite period is from November to April, because it is on these months, that the city receives the most rainfall.
