Overview

Spain is one among the members of European Union. Spain is found to be located in the south western part of Europe and on Iberian Peninsula. Mediterranean Sea is the border to the east and south of the mainland of Spain. The total area of Spain is about 504,030 square kilometers. It is also measured to be the country with second largest area in the European Union and the Western Europe after the country France. Spain is the developed country which has very high standards of living and by nominal GDP it is considered to be the twelfth in the terms of largest economy of a country in the whole world.

Weather / Climate

The climate of Spain has three different zones in it. Each climatic zone is separated as per the orographic condition and geographical situations. The Mediterranean climate has been characterized by warm and dry summers. According to the classification on koppen climate these summer conditions are dominant in peninsula with two different varieties. The semiarid climate is the second type which can be located in the southeastern part of the country. It is specially found in the Murcia regions and also in Ebro valley. The oceanic climate is the third type in which the summer and winter temperatures will be influenced by no seasonal drought and the ocean.

Transportation

There are different means like train, bus, boat to get around Spain. Renfe is the national railway carrier of Spain. You can get the long distance trains always in time. The short distance trains will face long delays for about 10 to 15 minutes. There will be about 30 minute train delays sometimes in short trains in the regions of Barcelona. These train delays are not uncommon to the people. Is it better to take trains to be which are prior to the timings of the one you need. One of the easiest methods to get around Spain is travelling by bus. Most of the major cities have bus routes at each point and are with good frequency as well.
