Overview

Sweden is the Nordic country and officially recognized as Kingdom of Sweden. It shares its border with Finland in east and Norway in west. It is connected to Denmark via Oresund Bridge. The area of Sweden is about 173,860 square kilometers. The population of this city is about 9.4 millions. On population basis it is the 3rd biggest country in Europe. More than 85 percent of population in Sweden lives in urban areas. Stockholm is the capital of Sweden with more than 2 million people residing in metropolitan city. The territory of this country was expanded in the early 17th century. It became a member of OECD in the year 1995.

Climate / Weather

Most parts of Sweden face temperate climate. Though there are four distinct seasons present in a year, mild temperature can be expected throughout the year. The whole country can be divided into three different types in climate. The oceanic climate can be found at the southernmost parts of the country, the humid continental climate can be found on the central part of the country and the subarctic climate can be found on the northernmost part of the country. The average high temperature will be around 20 degree C to 25 degree C and the low temperature will be around 12 degree C to 15 degree C.

Transportation

There are different public means of transportation available in Sweden to get around. Travelling around the cities of Stockholm and visiting different places will be quite expensive. For the same reason there is the facility of stockholm card with the help of which you can easily travel in any means of transportation it is either by trains, by busses, ferries and also on tram for the free of cost. This card also comprise of admissions to about 75 museums and many other attractions in Sweden.
Sweden is quite large country hence traveling to all places in Sweden will be quite expensive. If you want to enjoy much in Sweden then its better to travel to the south part of Sweden as most of the events happen there. In southern part of Sweden the distances between different places are also not huge. You can find plenty of domestic flights specially for tourists. These domestic planes charge little and take little time to reach the destinations as well. you can also get low priced tickets for travel. The facility of booking in advance is also offered. It is suggested to book in advance for better travel.
