Overview
Turkey is Eurasian country and officially recognized as Republic of turkey. It is stretched between the Anatolian peninsula and Balkan regions. It is bordered by 8 different countries Greece in the west, Iran in the east, Bulgaria in northwest, Cyprus to south, black sea in the north, Georgia in the northeast, Aegean Sea in west and Iraq in southwest. The Turkish straits comprises of bosphorus, Dardanelles, Sea of Marmara separates the crossroads of Asia and Europe. The separation makes its geographical area the most significant. It is one among six independent states dominated by Islamic people. The official language of Turkey is Turkish. Zazaki and Kurdish languages have spoken by zazas and Kurds who forms 18 percent of the total turkey population. The word turkey is derived from Latin. In the early 11th century the city processed to developments after Seljuk own the battle of Manzikert. After Seljuk several other small emperors ruled turkey. During 13th century Ottoman bevlik formed the new territory including several parts of North America and western Asia. Alter during First World War it was occupied by Allies. In the year 1923 it is renamed as the Republic turkey. It is a unitary, secular, constitutional republic and democratic country. It is the world’s heritage center. It is a member nation NATO, OSCE, G-20 and OECD.

Climate / Weather
Turkey undergoes Mediterranean coastal climate and enjoys most of the Mediterranean climate. Rainfall is usually dropped during summer and sunny days. The summer starts at May and ends in October. Winter season is rainy and mild. Snowfall is rare except at mountain areas. The temperature is warm during summer because of the Mediterranean Sea. The temperature here varies between 23 degree Celsius and 28 degree Celsius. The near by city Istanbul also experiences transitional climate but rains a lot. The average annual rainfall is 2500mm. the lowest temperature recorded is 10 degree C.

Getting Around
Turkey is the best city to travel. Most of the cities are covered by airlines thus reducing the tourist problems. the air fairs are reasonable and some times beat the expenses of buses during long journeys between different cities. Turkish airlines, atlasjet and Pegasus are some of the domestic air travelers who offer tourist tickets at very reasonable prices. You can also get the services of minibuses but you need to wait for some time to arrive at your place. When compared to air travel and minibus travel, the bus travel is convenient.
