Easy To Follow Travel Tips To Protect Your Valuables From Being Stolen

It is better safe than sorry, as the old saying goes. This principle does apply especially when you are out on a vacation in another country wherein you are a total stranger to it and you do not know a single person, too.

When you travel abroad, it will be best that you do safeguard your valuables from getting stolen. What you need to do is simply follow these easy to follow steps:

1. Place your valuables in a hotel’s safe.

Hotels do have their own safe wherein guests can keep their valuables. Here is one important thing you must do, after you press the code. You need to press at random another set of code. This might trigger the alarm but it will just stop at one moment. Why you need to do this? It is because there have been cases when hotel staff are placing powder or light oil on the keys making it easier for them to check what your code is. It would be best to be safe than losing all your valuables that you placed inside the hotel’s safe.

2. Never put your valuables on side pockets even if it is padlocked.

Even if you put on some padlocks on the side pockets, chances are there will be some tricky thieves who will simply splite the seam of the pockets and get hold of your valuables in an instant. Put your valuables inside your luggage where it is safe and difficult to find. Be sure you are the only person who knows where you place your valuables in order to avoid inside job.

3. Do not attempt to invite a complete stranger into your room when you are drunk.

Here is the thing, you have couple of drinks in a bar or pub, then you get drunk. The worst thing you would ever do is invite a total stranger right to your room. Then, when you wake up, you find out that you lose your credit cards, cash, ATM card and other valuable items. What you just did is inviting a thief inside your room.

Even if how cunning and beautiful or handsome a stranger is, you do not want to trust anybody these days. These people will use their beauty in order to lure tourists around and later steal from them. This is something you do not want to happen to you, right?
