Travel Abroad – Food Tripping

 

One way to know and experience the diverse culture of a particular place is through food tripping. Why? It is because you it is through your taste buds that you will taste how delicious, erratic, hot, or awful a particular native dish is.

A native dish says something about the culture, the tradition, customs and the way of living of a particular place. Say for instance, India, this country is best known for it’s curry. As for the Philippines, it is known for “lechon” or roast pig. As for Mexico or Latin American countries, they are known for tacos.

If you are keen on exploring the place’s history and culture go on and have some food tripping. It does not mean you are going to eat cockroaches and other exotic dishes. Just the kind of dishes that you can take and not have stomach upset later on.

Here are some tips when it comes to food tripping:

1. Research.

Before you even plunge in and eat any native dish or delicacy there is at your chosen destination, you need to research first. What you are going to search is for foods that are popular on a particular place? If you want to go over the top, search for exotic foods. For sure, you will be vomiting at the end! Just kidding.

2. Sanitation.

You do not want to be carrying diseases or harmful bacteria inside your body after eating a particular dish, right? Therefore, check out on the sanitation procedure that a food stall or a restaurant has been using. You do not want some roaches floating on your soap.

3. Price.

Price place an important part, spending much money on food tripping is not advisable. You might end up walking home. It is advisable to spend just a minimal amount. Be sure that the price of the foods is affordable ant not too expensive for your liking. In this way, you end up still with money inside your wallet.

4. Judgment.

The judgment day, it is more of putting your opinion on a diary. Take a picture of the food you have eaten, the ingredients and your verdict. In this way, you have something to remember by as what foods you have been eating.

Food tripping is a definite must have for travelers who want to experience more and be part of a diverse culture of a particular destination.
